Vigorous activity, is an intensity that is high enough to significantly raise both your heart rate as well as your breathing rates, for approximately 20 minutes before fatigue sets in.
You may ask yourself, "what is the term low to moderate or vigorous activity?" Low to moderate activity is an intensity that can be sustained relatively comfortably for a long period of time (approximately 60 minutes) this type of exercise typcally begins slowly, progreses gradually and is not competitive in nature.
